State Team Structure Overview
The aim of Action for Healthy Kids is to show the link between health & academic achievement. Local teams work with their school districts to create a healthier school environment.
Ohio Action for Healthy Kids is part of a three-tiered structure of national, state and regional teams working together to encourage and facilitate positive change in schools.

The National Action for Healthy Kids team provides valuable guidance and resources to help state teams implement the initiative's mission and goals.

The Ohio steering committee provides the state team with leadership in issues of policy, funding, resources and awareness.

Regional zone teams utilize the steering committee's guidance to create change in schools at the grassroots level by collaborating with local schools, organizations and child health advocates.
